چکیده
More and more satellites are populating the sky nowadays in Low Earth orbits (LEO). Most of targeted applications related to broadband narrowband communications, observation, synthetic aperture radar, internet-of-Things (IoT) connectivity. In addition these applications, there is yet-to-be-harnessed potential for LEO positioning, navigation, timing (PNT) systems, or what referred as LEO-PNT. No commercial LEO-PNT solutions currently exist no unified research on concepts. Our survey aims fill gaps knowledge regarding a system entails, its technical design steps challenges, physical layer parameters viable solutions, tools can be used (e.g., optimisation steps, hardware software simulators, etc.), existing models wireless channels satellite-to-ground ground-to-satellite propagation, prospects future system. A comprehensive multidisciplinary provided by team authors with complementary expertise signal processing, navigation tracking, physics, machine learning, remote sensing, digital economy, business models.

Aerodynamic Lift and Drag Effects on the Orbital Lifetime Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellites
The effects of aerodynamic perturbation forces on the orbital life of low altitude Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites are investigated, with a focus on the secular perturbations caused by lift and drag. The secular effects can be divided into the circularization of the orbit for both lift and drag perturbation forces, and the decrease of the orbit semimajor axis for drag perturbation. A study of ...
متن کاملCDMA in Low Earth Orbit Satellites
In recent years the use of small multi mission satellites (SMMS) in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for making voice, data and E-mail communications has been grown extensively. Low production cost, Low cost of lunching and low transmission power due to it’s low orbit of these satellites are some reasons for their vast usage. How over because of their low orbit they need to turn several times around the e...
متن کاملPrecise Orbit Determination for Low Earth Orbit Satellites
The precise orbit determination problem is to accurately determine the position and velocity vectors of an orbiting satellite. In this paper we review the general contents of the orbit determination process, with particular emphasis on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. The different orbit determination approaches and the different force models contained within are briefly discussed. The two mai...
متن کاملHandover Management in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite Networks
Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks will play an important role in the evolving information infrastructure. Satellites in the low earth orbits provide communication with shorter end-to-end delays and efficient frequency usage. However, some problems need to be solved before LEO satellite systems can be successfully deployed. One of these problems is the handover management. The objective o...
متن کاملAnalysing the Orbital Movement and Trajectory of LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Satellite Relative to Earth Rotation
Next generation of wireless Internet scenarios include LEOs (Low Earth Orbit Satellites). Lower altitudes of LEO constellations could allow global coverage while offering: low end-to-end propagation delay, low power consumption, and effective frequency usage both for the users and the satellite network. LEOs rotate asynchronously to the earth rotation. Fast movement of LEOs makes it necessary t...
